Commissions & Custom Requests

Do you have an awesome idea for a custom frame, dome or display? Due to an overwhelming demand, I have decided to open up custom requests & commission pieces. If you love what you see listed but can't quite find your dream piece - this is where a custom request could come in. 

How It Works: 

Step One: Collate your idea - decide what colors, species, florals etc you would like. Any picture references are super helpful as well.

Step Two: Complete the Custom Request form below. Please try to be as descriptive as possible - this is very helpful. I don't believe the form allows image attachments however please note if you have reference photos as I will request a copy to help in the process.

Step Three: We discuss the project, I will give you a quote & a rough time estimate of how long it will take to complete the work. Please note that if I need to order the species in from overseas suppliers the wait may exceed 8 weeks. 

Step Four: Once we have agreed on an idea & quote for the work, a deposit will be taken for me to commence work / ordering the goods needed.

 

IMPORTANT - T&C'S:

A 20% deposit MUST be paid before any work on your custom piece is commenced. This is to cover my time, and some of the cost of the goods needed to make the piece. This is NON-REFUNDABLE. If you decide you no longer want your custom, you forfeit the deposit paid.

Item must be paid for IN FULL before I send it out to you. Customs will be priced a little higher than standard pieces as they are extra unique & special to you, as well as they take a higher level of detail & time than a regular piece and are priced as such. Several payment options available, I can also hold onto the piece if you require extra time to pay it off - I just ask that you be open with your communication with me.

Please be aware I do still have a day job. The turn around for custom pieces will be a minimum of 2-3 weeks, running anywhere up to 12 weeks if you require special specimens be ordered in. This is for a variety of reasons - I work two jobs, the specimens themselves take time to rehydrate and dry, the time taken to assemble the piece and finally any time spent waiting on goods to arrive. There is nothing I can do to expedite this - please be aware of this before ordering. 

 

What CAN'T I Request? 

  • Human remains, bodily fluids or parts.
  • Any native or protected animals.
  • No CITES Species
  • NO BATS.
